I am learning to trade a very simple system that I have developed over the past few years. I have traded cash secured puts and covered calls, bull/bear spreads and other strategies over the years and I hope I have a decent grasp on the concepts.
In 2017, I had the biggest gain of my career in trading, bringing in a whopping 240%! Was this a fluke or was this skill? Who knows, but I hope to test my "options experiment" in 2018 and see what happens.
Basic Plan:
- Observe/Till the landscape
- Cast/Plant the seeds
- Wait and weed
- Harvest the fruit
And of course, repeat the process.
Wait, isn't this a trading site? Why am I using agricultural terms? Well, this past summer as I was planting my seeds and preparing my garden, I noticed the parallels between my trading plan and my gardening plan.
